Good plasticity: Brass has good plasticity and is easy to be formed by pressure processing such as forging, extrusion, rolling, etc., and is suitable for manufacturing parts of various complex shapes.
Good cutting performance: Brass has better cutting performance than copper and many other metals. The chips produced during cutting are easy to break and will not adhere to the tool. Therefore, brass is a more ideal material for mechanical processing.
Castability: Brass has good casting performance and can produce parts of various shapes and sizes by casting. It is especially suitable for the production of products with complex shapes.
Hot working performance: Brass has good processing performance in the heated state and can be processed by hot rolling, hot forging, etc., and there will be no problems of overheating and grain growth during the heating process.
Cold working performance: Brass also has good cold working performance and can be processed by cold rolling, cold drawing, cold forging, etc., and the strength and hardness will increase during the cold working process.
